OUR STORY
In 2024 we decided to Cat Proof our garden- Why?

In March 2021 we bought our first home and immediately adopted Fitz and Simmons (rescue cats). Within the first year Fitz went missing for 2 days, which caused us alot of stress, tears and late nights! Fortunately he returned unscathed.

In Dec 2022 we also adopted Vinnie (rescue cat), who enjoyed, exploring our entire neighbourhood. He got lost a couple of times, resulting in us rescuing him at midnight. He also regularly picked fights with neighbouring cats, coming back one evening with a split ear, which he has to this day.

In April 2023, Fitz came in with a serious bite on his foot and our Vet informed us that he may need to have his leg removed. Fortunately, he recovered, only losing a toe.

In Aug 2024 our other cat Simmons went missing for 2 days; again causing alot of upset and worry. When she returned we made a decision to take action and thus researched how to Cat Proof our Garden.
How did The Cat Proof Fence Company begin?

From researching, I found a couple of websites that sold the nessesary products; Brackets, Mesh and Extender. However, I felt the price was extortionate, especially for how simple the products were. It would have cost us more than £2000 just to buy the brackets and mesh! Being DIY Savvy, this wasnt an option!

I therefore investigated what it would take to make the product myself. Through pain staking research, conversations with suppliers and manufacturers I was able to Cat Proof our Garden for less than £1000, saving us a considerable amount of money. The research, creation and fitting took a considerable amount of time but the end result was professional, effective and I dare say 'stylish'.
This is where The Cat Proof Fence Company was born. I want to help people (like myself) get affordable Cat Proof Fencing and protect cats around the UK. Too often do I see posts online about missing cats or cats that have been in road accidents. In fact, as I wrote this Bio my neighbour messaged me asking about their cat (Attlee) as they had not seen him for 24 hours.
Protect your loved ones; try the The Cat Proof Fence Company.

Our Cats
Vinnie
The ASBO Cat
Cutest little cat, but a handful. We recued Vinnie in Dec 2023 when we found out he had been dumped in the snow around Christmas time. He has grown into a very loving little guy who has the loudest purr I have ever heard. He gets on so well with our other two even though he causes mayhem at 5:30am when he decides he wants to chase them. Hes a little bruiser as you can tell by his ear. He loves picking fights with neighbouring cats and stalking prey (birds).Gotta love his little pink nose and feisty character.

How a Cat Fence Barrier helped...
- Stops him fighting neighbouring cats
- Reduces his ability to kill birds
- Stops him getting lost when he wanders
- Aleviates our stress and worry

Fitz
The Big Brother
Fitz is a little softie. Loves cuddles and is constantly looking for a lap to sit on and a head to bump. We recused Fitz in 2021 along with his Sister Simmons. They were born feral and had been with a couple of fosterers. He loves a good cat toy and enjoys his biscuits! He went missing in 2021 for 2 days, but fortunately returned unscathed. He also got bit by something in 2023 and nearly lost his leg. Again fortunately he made a full recovery.

He is now a super content cat and you will regularly see him around the house looking like he has just woken up. Hes a lover, not a fighter and is very tolerant of his younger 'brother' Vinnie. Hes got alot of love to give!

How a Cat Fence helped...
- Cannot get lost again
- Cannot get bit by a dog
- Aleviates our worry and concerns
Simmons
Little Lady
We adopted Simmons in 2021, along with her Brother Fitz. She is a house cat these days and you will usually find her sleeping on the spare bed upstairs. She is a little madam and will often lead you to where SHE wants to get attention rather than letting you dictate the narrative. She is fiesty when she needs to be and has no patience with her little 'Brother' Vinnie, which is amusing to watch.

For years Simmons has caused no stress for us, until in 2024 she went missing for 2 days. Fortunately, she returned like nothing happened.
